Blogging has been on my mind for years. In fact, as a very young twenty-something, I started one. Oh, it was a site to behold! I rambled about my thoughts on the whole world, my theology, my opinions and of course, my vast knowledge of life. Let’s just say it didn’t last long.
Now, it’s been years since I’ve written a thing. Time is a robber. My husband and I are in our forties and have five kids. We’ve been living a pretty beautiful life for the past 18 years since we were those young kids who thought they were plenty old to be getting married and having a family. And we’re starting over.
We bought 6.5 acres of land last year, and have been working so hard to live on it. We renovated our lovely home in town. We’ve done dirt work and site clearing to make a buildable spot on the land. We sold the house we thought we’d live in forever and moved onto someone else’s cattle farm.
Next on the agenda is putting up a structure that will eventually become a home – we have a camper we’ll be able to live in during the warmer months while we finish the inside. All through this process, we’ve talked about how great it would be to share the ups and downs, what we learn, and how it all turns out. We’d love to have you join us along the way as we build our home, our homestead, and our lives.
